Contactless pickup of holds is now available in the lobby on Monday 10-7, Tuesday 10-7, Wednesday 10-4, Thursday 10-7, Friday 10-4, Saturday 10-3.  

 Our Browsing section has re-opened!  Come in to our collection of Juvenile titles, including all NEW picture books and chapter books.  Or Browse our shelves right from home! Browse virtual children's shelves on a wide variety of genres as well as NEW titles!

The New Providence Memorial Library has the following programs and services for children of all ages:


  • Events - In-person library events have been suspended until further notice.  Check out our virtual offerings here!
  • Storytime - While the library is closed, in-person storytime has been suspended until further notice. Weekly storytimes are now posted on the library YouTube channel.  Email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to receive the links each week to watch:
    • Mondays @ 1 pm: All ages storytime with Ms. Sam 
    • Tuesdays @ 10 am: 4, 5, 6 yr old storytime with Ms. Lori
    • Wednesdays @ 10 am: Baby storytime with Ms. Sam
    • On Wednesdays @ 7 pm: Pajama storytime with Ms. Debbie  
  • 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Progress on the re-open front!

We are happy to announce that the Adult stacks have opened for the first time since last March!  You can browse the shelves and choose your own fiction, movie, audiobook, etc.  Our newly relocated YA area is also fully accessible.

The Children's Room remains closed to public access so patrons should continue to browse new and selected materials in the Browsing section while asking staff for other materials.
