As part of our celebration of New Jersey Makers Day, Carol Simon Levin portrays Lillian Moller Gilbreth, motion study pioneer and “Cheaper by the Dozen” mother of twelve. She will also share the stories of other overlooked women innovators, from Margaret Knight (the 19th century “female Edison”) to Hollywood superstar Hedy Lamarr, who developed frequency-hopping, the technology behind Bluetooth, GPS and wifi. This program was made possible by the Friends of the New Providence Memorial Library.
