New Providence Memorial Library is proud to offer these e-book services:

Overdrive

You can access Overdrive e-books one of two ways:

Log in with your library card barcode number. Your PIN is the last four digits of your library card barcode number.

Some Overdrive e-books have waitlists. There is a limit of 5 loans at a time and 5 holds at a time. You may search for a particular e-book, or browse the e-books.

Overdrive also offers audiobooks, so double check that you're borrowing the correct format.

Hoopla Digital

Read e-books on your tablet or phone with the free Hoopla Digital app

You may also read these e-books in your Internet browser at HooplaDigital.com

Click "Get Started Today" to set up an account using your email address and library card number.  You may check out up to five Hoopla items per month.

Hoopla e-books never have waitlists.  However, if the library-wide daily budget cap has been reached, you will get an error message when you try to check out an item.  In that case, try to check your item out again the next day, or anytime after midnight.

Search for a particular e-book, browse the e-books or check our our staff recommendations for Hoopla. Hoopla also offers audiobooks, so double check that you are borrowing the correct format.

TumbleBooks

Signs of life!

As the snow begins to melt, we see positive signs of brighter days ahead.  Infection rates in town continue to drop and the COVID Committee of the Board of Trustees continues to monitor virus progress in the community.  We have been meeting regularly to evaluate whether conditions are right for re-opening.  As always, the safety of our patrons and staff is of prime importance.

We are happy to announce that we will once again open to computer use by appointment on Monday, 3/1.  As before, we ask that you make an appointment for a 45 minute slot at least the day before and we will not take advance appointments beyond 1 week.  Social distancing requirements only allow us to make 2 computers available.

We look forward to safer conditions as vaccinations proceed and will continue to update you as our re-opening plans progress.
