Science Fiction Movie Fest

We've got the Science angle covered but how about Sci Fi? For all you fans of the far out, we'll be showing 4 movies during July that the library does not own.  Come out for a chance to see them.

Metropolis, the 1927 Fritz Lang masterpiece about a Utopian society and dissent among the unseen worker class that makes it all possible.  shown 7/7 @ 7:30PM & 7/9 @ 9:30AM

Next up, Earth vs. the Flying Saucers from 1956.  Can't you just picture it?  High tech flying saucers communicating with scientist Dr. Marvin about their plans to enslave the residents of Earth unless....  shown 7/15 @ 7:30PM & 7/18 @ 9:30AM

The classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind from 1977 was the 2nd in a long string of Steven Spielberg-directed blockbusters.  And it also gave forever lasting notoriety to Devil's Tower National Monument.  shown 7/21 @ 9:30AM & 7/24 @ 6:30PM

And finally, the original 1987 version of Robocop is really the best, isn't it?  It features the original cyborg cop fighting crime in a Detroit that is far from urban renewal.  shown 7/28 @ 9:30AM & 7/29 @ 6:30PM
