Tuesday Movies @ 9:30 & 2

January is almost over as far as the movie schedule goes.   Can you believe that we're already talking about the last movie of the month??   Yup, that's right.  It's The Ides of March on 1/31 and it concerns the presidential primary race in Ohio with George Clooney cast as a Democratic presidential hopeful.  The plot is full of twists and turns and you won't really figure out what's happening until the end.

We're already set up for February with the usual mix of great stories and current features.  First up, special effects and fantasy combine on 2/7 with Rise of the Planet of the Apes.  The movie features a special-effects-created ape that delievers a dramatic performance and fights in battles that will determine the future of man and primate's destinies.  We continue the dramatic storytelling on 2/14 with a turn back to Elizabethan England and some possible answers to the age-old question of who really wrote the works attributed to Shakespeare?

And don't forget that these movies are being shown twice on Tuesdays now at 9:30AM AND 2PM

We are only showing 1 foreign film in February on 2/28 and it's called Turtles Can Fly.  The movie is a hopeful, profoundly compassionate film set in Kurdistan close to the Turkey-Iran border.  It's the story of a 13-year old boy and other children left maimed and wounded by the reign of Saddam and the subsequent war.    It will be shown on 2/28 at 7PM.

Here's the schedule for February:

January 31 @ 9:30AM and 2PM   The Ides of March
February 7 @ 9:30AM and 2PM   Rise of the Planet of the Apes
February 14 @ 9:30AM and 2PM   Anonymous
February 14 @ 7PM   no movie tonight..
January 21 @ 9:30AM and 2PM   Take Shelter
February 28 @ 9:30AM and 2PM   Contagion
